WB leads voter turnout record with 49.27% till 1 pm in phase 3 polling

By 1 PM in the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 3, West Bengal emerges as the frontrunner in voter turnout, with 49.27% of registered voters exercising their franchise. In contrast, Maharashtra exhibits the lowest participation rate, recording merely 31.55% turnout. The third phase of polling encompasses 93 constituencies across various states and Union Territories.

Chhattisgarh also witnesses a significant voter turnout, reaching 46.14% by 1 PM. Goa closely follows West Bengal, inching towards a turnout of 49.04%. Other states participating in this phase show varying degrees of voter engagement: Assam at 45.88%, Bihar at 36.69%, Gujarat at 37.83%, Karnataka at 41.59%, Madhya Pradesh at 44.67%, and Uttar Pradesh at 38.12%. Additionally, the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu records a 39.94% turnout by 1 PM.
